Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Review
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual is a typical example of an elegant watch with one of the most important complications -- perpetual calendar -- that manages to offer a great value too.
Also nicknamed the "Dr. Stange" watch -- as shown extensively in the Marvel movie by Dr. Stephen Strange's it embeds elegance and functionality:
With a diameter of 39mm and a thickness of 9.2 mm the watch is certainly very slim especially considering the perpetual calendar complication
Powered by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 868/1 it offers a the classic perpetual calendar complication featuring day of the week, month, day, year and moon phase
The silver grained dial is very classical and offers a good legibility. The blued seconds hand is a perfect match with the blue of the moon complication
As an automatic watch you can wear it daily without having to ever set the date again until 2100!
The watch is in stainless steel and that makes is very light. Another interesting point is that this particular model with the silver dial is a special edition reserved to JLC boutiques.
In summary this is a perfect business watch for the modern CEO. It offers value (considering the complication that would make it cost much more by any other manufacture)
and the fact that JLC is a true manufacture with a long history of producing movements for virtually every major watch brand makes this watch truly special.
Jaeger-LeCoultre managed to execute this complication and keeping it ultra-thin that is another complication by itself.
This watch is now also available with the black dial but in our view the silver dial is more traditional but both watches are very interesting and perfect for business.
